Lavalink (managed)
Lavalink is the audio server your music bot connects to for high-quality, low-CPU playback. Running it yourself means plugins, YouTube breakage and uptime work — we manage all of that.
1. Order a node
Managed plans come in tiers (Starter → Gold) sized by player count and bandwidth. Pick based on how many simultaneous listeners you expect.
2. Get your credentials
After checkout, your node details (host, port, password, secure flag) are shown in the client area:
host: lavalink-xx.vexanode.gg
port: 443
password: ********
secure: true3. Connect your bot
Add the node to your bot's config. Lavalink v4 uses this shape:
json
{
"nodes": [
{
"name": "vexanode",
"url": "lavalink-xx.vexanode.gg:443",
"auth": "your-password",
"secure": true
}
]
}Restart your bot. In the console you should see a Lavalink node connect and report READY.
4. Plugins & sources
VexaNode nodes run community sources (LavaSrc/YouTube plugins) so playback keeps working when upstream changes. If a specific source is missing, open a ticket.
Common issues
| Symptom | Fix |
|---|---|
Connection refused | Wrong port or secure flag |
| Node connects then drops | Wrong password |
| Silent playback | Bot is not in a voice channel / missing voice perms |
| Buffering | Your bot and node region differ — ask for the closest node |
