Getting started (Discord bots)
VexaNode bot hosting keeps your bot running around the clock with automatic restarts, environment secrets and log access.
1. Order a plan
Choose a bot plan (see Free bot hosting first if you just started). During checkout pick your runtime:
- Node.js (discord.js)
- Python (discord.py / nextcord)
- Bun
- Java (JDA / Javacord)
- Deno
2. Open the panel
Client area → Services → your bot → Panel. The panel has Console, Files, Startup, Databases and Backups.
3. Upload your code
Panel → Files, then either:
- upload a
.zipof your bot and Unarchive it, or - use SFTP for larger projects.
Make sure your entry file is at the path set under Startup (e.g. index.js or main.py).
4. Add secrets
Never hard-code your token. Put it in the panel's Startup → Variables (or an .env you keep off GitHub) — see Environment variables.
5. Start it
Press Start and watch the console:
Logged in as MyBot#1234If it exits immediately, check the last lines of the console — usually a missing dependency or an invalid token.
